The Gallery of African Art is primarily a museum with an educational display of a unique, private collection representative of various regions, tribes and traditions of the African continent. The gallery encompasses a diverse collection of more than 600 African tribal masks, figures, sculpture and artifacts crafted in stone, wood, clay and bronze, spanning 32 tribes, including Dogon, Baule, and Bamana art.

Like African art in general, Lanktons collection emphasizes the human figure, visual abstraction, sculpture and the representative accouterments of ceremonial performance art.

For now, access to the Gallery is located at the back of the Sunrise Boutique located in Clinton's buzzing commercial district at 62 High St.

Joy of Music Program

The Joy of Music Program's mission is to enrich lives and foster community through accessible music education and performance. This non-profit community music school serves over 550 students a year in private instrumental lessons, music & movement classes, jazz ensembles, chamber music, JOMP Youth Orchestra, children's chorus, and world drumming.

Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester offers exceptional music education and enrichment programs for all ages - from birth to retirement. Programs include early childhood Music Together classes, private lessons, small group classes, ensembles, and special summer programs. Student performance classes and recitals, scheduled throughout the school year, are free and open to the public.

Pakachoag's newest program, Shrewsbury Arts Alive, brings high quality music instruction to residents of Shrewsbury and surrounding communities. Classes are also conveniently available in other communities in Central Massachuestts.

Very Special arts of Massachusetts creates opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in the cultural life of our communities through education and cultural access programs. VSAM's Education programs advocate the use of the arts from preschool through high school to support curricula and encourage the inclusion of students of all abilities and learning styles. Cultural
access programs promote physical and programmatic access to museums, concert halls, historic sites, sports arenas, parks movie theatres, and other cultural venues.

The Worcester Center for Crafts is a unique destination providing the largest regional visual arts gallery, a gallery gift store, and studios for contemporary American craft education.

The George and Anna Krikorian Gallery is over 2,200 square feet. It's mission is to exhibit prominent visual artists from around the United States, to educate and enrich the public about the nature crafts and craftmanship, and to encourage the use of hand made objects in daily life.

The Center for Crafts also hosts a number of events each year including the Annual Festival of Crafts over Thanksgiving weekend and the Annual Pottery Invitational Show and Sale every April.

Worcester Youth Orchestras

Founded in 1947 by Worcester legend, Harry Levenson, the Worcester Youth Orchestras (WYO) have maintained a presence in Central Massachusetts, offering musical training and orchestral experiences for aspiring young musicians. The orchestras' membership draws from over 32 communities in Massachusetts, as well as New Hampshire and Rhode Island. WYO is third oldest youth orchestra in the country and has a long history of masterful performances at Mechanics Hall, Tuckerman Hall, Alden Hall, Abbey Kelly Foster, The Hanover Theatre , Anna Maria College, Warner Theatre (Worcester Academy) and Holy Cross. They have appeared as guest performers at The Academy of Music in Northampton, Boston University's Tsai Center, Pickman Hall at Longy Conservatory, The Paramount Theatre in Boston and most recently at the newly built and magnificent Shalin Liu Concert Hall in Rockport. All of its students are actively involved in their school music programs, as well as all-state and regional district music festivals.
