Three leading health science institutions - Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, The University of Massachusetts Medical School, and Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Fifteen colleges and universities in the area make Worcester the intellectual capital of North America, with more students per capita than any other major city. The Colleges of Worcester Consortium includes one of the top national universities offering strong bioengineering programs.
