March 14, 2018: The Kevin Harris Project
NY based jazz pianist Kevin Harris plays a distinctive combination of traditional and contemporary music with the unmistakable influences of Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, J.S. Bach, Scott Joplin, and the folkloric rhythms of Cuba. Yes, you read that right! For 31 years, Boston Brass has set out to establish a one-of-a-kind musical experience. Performing exciting classical arrangements to burning jazz standards, Boston Brass treats audiences to a unique brand of entertainment captivating all ages. The ensemble's lively repartee, touched with humor and personality, attempts to bridge the ocean of classical formality to delight audiences in an evening of great music and boisterous fun. The philosophy of Boston Brass is to provide audiences with a wide selection of musical styles in unique arrangements, provided in a friendly and fun atmosphere.

Jazz vocalist Jim Porcella serves up the iconic tunes of Sinatra, the Rat Pack, and Duke Ellington and is just as much at ease with the retro-swing of Louis Prima, Cab Calloway and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. The ultimate entertainer, Jim delivers American Songbook greats and leaves you wanting more!

Mechanics Hall and WICN are proud to provide quality performances free to the general public! Every concert begins at noon and ends promptly at 1:00 pm. Bring your own brown bag lunch or purchase one at the Hall while they last! Lunches are provided by Erics La Patisserie.
