Steve Locke is an Associate Professor of Art Education at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and maintains a studio in Boston, MA. A 2014 recipient of both a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and a Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Grant, he was also the 2016 Artist-in-Residence at the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum. Locke has exhibited and lectured extensively throughout the United States. His recent work explores masculine identity and the public consumption of images of violence against African Americans.
