Each week, discover a new horticultural therapy project to take home in this unique program intended to give people with Alzheimers disease or dementia and their caregiver a fun and mentally stimulating activity. The caregiver will learn about tools for coping with people at various stages of memory loss and those with dementias will enjoy the nature inspired programming with four different projects to bring home. Attendees will benefit from the group discussions, interaction and supportive atmosphere.
As we know, caring for someone with Alzheimers disease or other dementias can be challenging and
therefore, if you are unable to attend all meetings or arrive after the start time, please know the instructor understands.
Lorraine A. Lee is a Horticultural Therapist, Certified Activity Consultant through NCCAP, Certified
Dementia Practitioner and Master Gardener . She earned a Masters degree in Counseling and has 25
years experience as an educator, artist and Alzheimer disease clinical professional.. She is currently
Chair of the Horticultural Therapy Committee for The Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, Inc.
