Festival of Lights is an annual tradition which brings thousands of people to the Worcester Common for a night of affordable family fun. In addition to the official tree lighting, several trees throughout the Common and along the streets of downtown are lit up. It is truly an evening of community and civic pride celebrating the beginning of the holiday season in Worcester.
Each year, Festival of Lights welcomes choirs from the Worcester Public Schools as well as a headlining artist. Headlining Festival of Lights this is Worcester Native- Jessica Cabral of American Idol, Season 15. Additional performances this year include Sasha the Fire Gypsy, Snow Queen Stilt Walker and LED Light Performers from Cirque DeLight. Activities include free ice skating on the 12,000 sq. foot public ice skating rink, horse-drawn sleigh rides, food trucks, free hot chocolate and face-painting by Just Clowning Around with Lee Lee and Ms. Jane!
